今週のお花

先週、小学校の社会の授業で千葉市の
木や花、鳥とか習ったんだ～と
うちの子どもが話してくれたのですが、
私は千葉育ちではなく知らないこと
ばかりだったので
子どもに教えてもらいました(*^^*)(笑)
Last week, My son told me,"I learned Chiba city flower, tree and bird in an elementary school social studies class." but, I was not sure.Becase I wasn't born and raised in chiba.So,My children taught me.
千葉市の花は「オオガハス」と言って
千葉市の発見された世界最古の花として
千葉県の天然記念物に制定されています。
Chiba city's flower name is Oga lotus. It's discovered the oldest flower in the world It is enacred as a natural monument in chiba prefecture.
そしてこの時期、中央区にある千葉公園
ではオオガハスが見頃を迎えています。
今月の２７日までハス池の木道を朝６時
から開放していて、
早朝からたくさんの方が来園しているそうですよ(^^)
And at this time, Oga lotus is in full bloom at Chiba Park in Chuo Ward.Until the 27th of this month, the wooden path of Hass Pond is open from 6 am, and many people are visiting from early morning.

まずはエントランスから～

こちらはグロリオサです。
gloriosus（グロリオサス）という
言葉が語源とされ、この言葉には
光栄や輝かしいという意味です。
花の姿が炎のように燃え盛っている
様に見えることから名付けられたそうです(^^)
This is Gloriosa. The word gloriosus is the etymology of the word, which means honor and brilliance.
It is said that it was named because the appearance of the flower looks like it is burning like a flame.
エキゾチックな花色と花形で、
切り花として人気があります。
With its exotic flower color and shape, it is popular as a cut flower.
こちらは、クルクマです。
ショウガやウコンの仲間で、球根性の
多年草です。
食用・薬用として栽培されるものを
「ウコン」、花の観賞用として栽培
されるものを「クルクマ」と呼びます。
上に伸びるように折り重なった苞が
まるでトーチのようですね(^^)
This is Curcuma.
A member of ginger and turmeric, it is a bulbous perennial.
Those cultivated for edible and medicinal purposes are called "turmeric", and those cultivated for ornamental flowers are called "curcuma".The bracts folded so that they extend upwards are like a torch.
花言葉は「忍耐」「あなたの姿に酔いしれる」です。

こちらはアルストロメリアです。
花色が豊富で、花弁に模様が入っている
のが特徴です。
この独特な模様が織りなす個性的な美しさ
が好まれ、花束やフラワーアレンジメント
で人気が高いそうですよ(^^)

花言葉は「持続」「未来への憧れ」です。
